Platos cave. Basic perceptions of reality. (fracking)

Platos cave. Basic perception of reality.  (regarding fracking)

Summary:

I feel like I'm Plato’s cave with people firmly staring at a wall with a big hypnotic TV flickering "fracking is great!".
Everything negative about fracking seems to be greeted with So what? Nothing to worry about been happening for years. So why is it happening more frequently near fracking?   We have historical data from America.

Fire coming out taps ....
Radiation contamination of water and ground.
Reckless dumping of liquid waste.
Earthquakes cracking houses and disrupting pipes.
Waste stored in containers in flood zones being flooded (see Colorado floods)

Timelapse of earthquakes in Oklahoma

Should we be fracking near yellowstone super volcano? Sure why not nothing to worry about there.

How bad do things have to get before people accept that there might be risks associated with fracking?

Why fracking process might directly and or indirectly turn tapwater on fire. Well casing integrity and failure.

Imagine a Platos cave full of elephants that are being pointedly ignored.

"Nothing to worry about been happening for years." I think there is a fundamental difference in perception of reality going on with fracking. Very similar to climate change and health aspects of smoking.

It seems to me to be a willful ignorance. Huge elephants in the room being ignored.  Its the corporate PR machine running amok trying to hypnotise and change perceptions of reality.

In this case talking about water contamination. One of the elephants is illegal dumping.

I feel like I'm platos cave with people firmly staring at a wall with a big hypnotic TV flickering "fracking is great!". Every so often there is an earthquake in the cave. There is a strong smell of gas. The tap water is on fire. Outside the cave is a field of fire. No water, lots of flares visible from space. Convoys of trucks dumping chemicals into the depleted river.

The flares are visible from space!... So what?

Fire coming out taps .... So what? Nothing to worry about been happening for years. So why is it happening more frequently near fracking?

Rivers on fire. Nothing to worry about been happening for years. The river of fire was one of the main reasons for creating environmental law. The same laws that fracking was made exempt from.(facepalm)

Earthquakes cracking houses and disrupting pipes. So what? Nothing to worry about been happening for years.

So why are all the above happening more frequently near fracking?
